My Times Square Billboard Experience

There are moments in life that feel almost unreal, moments when you look around and wonder how you arrived there.

Standing in the middle of Times Square, watching my books appear on a giant billboard above one of the busiest intersections in the world, was one of those moments.

When I first began writing, I was sitting alone in front of a computer with nothing more than an idea, a story, and a determination to see it through. Like many authors, I spent countless hours writing, rewriting, editing, doubting myself, and starting again. At the time, I never imagined that one day my books would be displayed on a massive screen in New York City.

Yet there I was, surrounded by flashing lights, towering skyscrapers, yellow taxis, and thousands of people from all over the world, watching images from my psychological thriller series appear above the streets of Manhattan. For a few brief moments, the journey that had begun with a blank page felt very real.

The billboard featured scenes inspired by my novels, including themes of love, manipulation, deception, survival, and emotional resilience. Watching those images unfold across the screen was both exciting and deeply emotional.

What struck me most, however, was not the billboard itself, but the realisation of how far the journey had taken me. Every chapter, every setback, every challenge, and every lesson learned along the way had contributed to that moment.

It has been a way of understanding people, exploring human behaviour, and sharing experiences that may resonate with others who have faced difficult relationships, betrayal, loss, or personal transformation. Seeing that work displayed in Times Square felt like a celebration not only of the books, but of the entire journey behind them.

Looking back, I am grateful that I never gave up on the dream. Times Square was not the destination; it was simply one milestone along the road.

And if there is one lesson I have learned from this experience, it is that extraordinary moments often begin with something very ordinary: a single idea, a blank page, and the courage to start.

Below is the official Times Square billboard video from the campaign featuring my promotional artwork in New York City.

Seeing the footage today still brings back the excitement, gratitude, and disbelief I felt standing beneath the screen and watching years of work come to life in one of the world’s most famous locations.
