Over the course of our lives, we all experience many relationships. Some are of the platonic or familial variety, while others are decidedly more romantic.
And in these romantic relationships, there are bound to be many trials. Some have more downs than anything that ultimately leads to the demise of the relationship. So, what happens when these downs are more than just that?
When they are actually emotionally detrimental to someone in the relationship and they reveal it is an abusive relationship they have found themselves in. That is when the person suffering questions everything while feeling trapped.

I was so proud of having the honour of being interviewed by Kate Delaney today for the America Tonight Show. It was so exceptional.
How many people can deal that way living with a psychopath? – Kate Delaney asked me during the interview for American Tonight Radio.
Kate Delaney was amazing.
I felt immediately at ‘home’ with her. It felt safe and calming while talking to her. We really talked a lot about my books, about mentally and physically abuse. And why I had written about a true-life experience talking about dating a psychopath.
How many people can relate to such a true story about dating a psychopath? I am sure many can. Did you know there are 4% psychopaths around the world and 3% are men?
We talked about how it frightened me of my life. And about all the revengeful measures that followed afterwards from the psychopath and his new victim.
About the interview
In this 11 minute recorded interview, I want to put words into why I wrote the books. I wanted to tell what was behind the entire story of being in an abusive relationship. Of course there are also some few people who might not understand why I was writing the stories. To me, it was great for healing the traumatic experiences I’ve had in my life.
Did you know psychopaths are cunning charmers and master manipulators?
It’s to the matter where you accept the most extreme behaviours as normal. Over the course of my life, I experienced a different sort of relationships. Some of them were platonic. My marriage was of the familial variety. However, few of my relationships were decidedly romantic. That was what I thought about my last relationship. Was it one of the romantic kind?
To begin with, the interview is a part of an important experience.
First, to expand my visibility as an author. Then to make my message stand out from the media clutter. As a result, it’s therefore a great opportunity for me to get in front of my target audience. Mostly to get me heard. Eventually, also to get me remembered. Following, also to get the books out on the market. In fact, for other victims, family, friends or even your partner, mostly for them to grasp abusive behavior. I want others to read the important message. After all, it’s truly difficult to get out of an abusive relationship––but indeed not impossible.

These books drip of emotional abuse. It’s about uncertainty I’ve lived through under the control of a psychopath. With self-esteem, self-worth, and everything at stake, I want to portray the brutal and painful truth. I want to tell you how it is to be with a psychopath. I want to show you how they think––if they actually think. My experience with the narcissist I was in love with mostly showed that he did not care. Nor worried about me. No empathy, because he was only thinking about himself.
The series presents a story that’s fairly common. It also discusses the strengths of empathetic people that a psychopath lack. I want to bring awareness. I want to shed light on how it is to be a vulnerable woman. About a woman who is trying to find herself through a maze of abuse. There is only one way to deal with a psychopath. Had I known better, I would never get involved with one. But it’s easier said than done! Such people are virtually invisible to their targets. And it’s impossible to see through them before it’s too late.

BURNING DESIRE: The Psychopath and the Girl in Black Prada Shoes. This book was very hard for me to put down and as I read each page, I found myself nodding in an agreement with its text. As it is written by a survivor of emotional abuse, I appreciated it greatly as if the author was right beside me telling me their story and what to look out for should it happen again and the reasons why we fall for these certain types of people. This book is the last thing your abuser wants you to read. Quick read and provides practical advice on healing as well as walking you through revelations you may not have gotten yet.

BURNING DESIRE FADES:
was the epitome of a home-run contemporary read. There were times I wanted to reach into the book, grab Mary (not violently! She has enough violence in her life), and tell her to wake up! That’s how convincing and spot-on author’s voice is. I give it a 5 out of 5, and I’d recommend it to everyone, an eye-opening read!
